Steffi Lemke beruft neue Mitglieder in das Kuratorium der Deutschen Bundesstiftung Umwelt

Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke has newly appointed the 16-member Board of Trustees of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) for a period of five years. Seven personalities were appointed to the Board of Trustees for the first time, including Wilhelm Mauß, Managing Director of Lorenz GmbH & Co. KG.

Tremendous honor: Federal Environment Minister Steffi Lemke has appointed Lorenz CEO Wilhelm Mauss to the Board of Trustees of the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU) together with six other experts from business, science and politics. The DBU, which currently has around 2.4 billion euros in endowment capital, is one of the largest environmental foundations in Europe. Its purpose is to promote projects to protect the environment, with a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises. The board of the foundation - and therefore its most important body - exercises control functions and votes on important decisions.

"This mandate fills me with joy and gratitude. I see it as an enormous appreciation of the decades of work done by all of us at Lorenz, as the overall industrial transformation to a Hashtag#CircularEconomy is an essential key to a future-proofing our economy and society as a whole. I am deeply honored to work with Secretary General Alexander Bonde and the entire board to help achieve the DBU's goals and contribute to preserving our natural foundations of life."
